Fees/Insurance
Therapy fee scale:

In Office $100.00/hour
Home visit therapy*
(any kind) 		$150.00/hour (includes travel) 

I realize that in today's world, with many insurance plans not covering the cost of mental health services, going into therapy may be an expensive proposition. If you are paying privately and these fees create a hardship, I do offer a sliding scale to be negotiated individually.

*limited number of home visit time slots available to homebound clients in certain geographic areas.

Insurance:

I accept many insurances, including:

  • Medicaid - NHIC (I no longer carry Star Medicaid plans)
  • Medicare
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield
  • Magellan Behavioral Health (arrange through them prior to first visit)
  • United Behavioral Health
  • MHNet

It's important for you to know that

  • some insurances do not provide mental health services.
  • some insurances have out-of-network benefits for mental health services.

It's good to know what mental health benefits your insurance provides. If you'd like me to check on what your mental health benefits are, I can do that. I'll need your insurance carrier's 800 number, the social security number (or policy number, if different) on the insurance card, and the date of birth of the person who will see me.

Employee Assistance Programs (EAP):

I'm also a provider on these EAP panels:

  • Interface EAP
  • Pierrs
  • Professional Counseling Associates (Compass Bank)

You must arrange sessions with your EAP representative prior to arranging your first visit.

Mediation:

Mediation is charged on an hourly basis, and is rounded to the nearest quarter hour. Upon request, arrangements can be made for co-mediation (2 mediators). Most mediations tend to take between 2 and 4 hours.

Fees are to be divided evenly between the parties (unless otherwise agreed prior to mediation) and are to be paid immediately upon end of mediation session.

Mediation $100.00/hour (1 mediator, billed to the quarter-hour)
$150.00/hour (2 mediators, billed to the quarter-hour)

Workshops:

Fees for workshops are generally negotiable, depending on amount of preparation work needed to provide individualized workshop.

A one-hour session will typically cost $150.00 - $200.00.
